General Information:

Welcome to the Workshop on Wireless and Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks! Based on the success of the preceding WMAN workshops of 2011 back to 2002, the workshop will also be organised for 2013. For the upcoming workshop, we are very happy to introduce WMAN 2013 for the fourth time being hosted in the context of the bi-annual conference Networked Systems 2013 (formerly the ITG/GI conference on communication in distributed systems, German: ITG/GI - Fachtagung "Kommunikation in Verteilten Systemen").

Wireless and Mobile Ad-Hoc Networking covers a broad variety of applications, including areas like mesh net-working, wireless sensor networks, vehicular networks, personal area networks, some forms of body area net-works, and many more.

WMAN 2013 seeks to provide a platform for a broad discussion on Wireless and Mobile Ad-hoc Networks among researchers from such diverse fields as MANETs, VANETs, WSNs, or mesh networks. The focus should be on networked systems that communicate wirelessly in a spontaneous way. Providing such a platform should enhance awareness of new trends and approaches in other areas of ad-hoc networking that might be applicable to the own domain.

According to this goal, submissions can present both original and novel works including work in progress. However, submissions may also provide a broader picture on the work of a working group or a specific community or raise new issues or challenges that the research community should discuss during the workshop.

Addressees of the workshop:

Goal of the WMAN workshop is to enable an effective interchange of results and ideas among researchers, users, and product developers on an international level - under the umbrella of research topics on wireless and mobile ad-hoc networks.

Workshop location / dates:

The workshop WMAN as well as the NetSys 2013 conference will take place at the Vaihingen Campus of the University of Stuttgart, Germany. Further information on the location and how to get there can be found on the NetSys 2013 web page (undefinedplease click here ).
